Useful Info

On 15 April 2012, after the morning diwan, the Sangat gathered at the entrance of the Gurdwara to participate in the Nishan Sahib ceremony / Salami. Although this has been done many time in the past, what was different now was that a new system was installed which allowed even a child to easily lower the pole so that the Nishan Sahib chola could be changed. Before this, a crane had to be hired to carry out this task.

The photos below show the entire sequence of lowering the pole, removing the old chola, cleaning the pole, putting on the new chola and then raising the pole once again - with kirtan by the hazoori ragis throughout the process.
